When choosing precious metals for your legacy, you have 4 choices.
- Antique (pre-1933)
- Modern (1986 – Present)
The term “Bullion” means, your precious metal is worth only its weight based on purity. A Bullion coins value is only a few percent over spot price which is controlled by political and economic factors. Bullion is favored by collectors due to its low cost since profit potential is not important to collectors.
“Certified Precious Metals” are considered premium investment grade gold. Certification verifies your precious metals as authentic gold issued by the U. S. Government, is graded on a scale from 1 - 70 "a grade of 70 is flawless" and is assigned a serial number for added security.
"Antique" offers all the benefits of certified plus an added historical origin of being everyday money in the pre-1933 era. These types of precious metals have been used to transfer wealth as a “Family Heirloom.”
"Modern" Certified gold coins are issued from the US Treasury which are legal tender under the Gold Bullion Act of 1985, public law 99-185. Certified precious metal values are not controlled by political or economic factors. Instead, their values are determined by their grade and limited supply. Modern certified gold tends to outperform bullion and can be worth multiples of spot price. For over 2 decades certified gold is favored by investors for its growth and profit potential.
Savvy investors in the know prefer new issue certified coins that have time proven elements that outperform bullion. Three elements which determine your gold's value simply are,
1) Mintage Figure, (supply)
2) Condition (grade)
3) Low Population (amount in highest known grade)
These elements are KEY in a well balanced gold portfolio. “Diversification” with certified premium gold is a smart basic strategy and protects the investor from unforeseen downturns and market corrections. Financial advisors recommend 15 - 30% of your wealth in precious metals.
With a proper mix an Investor can expect:
- Maximum Protection Against Declining Dollar Value
- Maximum Privacy (No Public Records)
- Tax Advantages
Successful investors secure a modest 15 - 30% investment in Certified Government Gold for additional protection and returns.
